Central Arizona College announced plans to give employees a “COVID appreciation payment” to recognize staff for all the work they have done over the last year and a half. In addition, the college announced a 5% salary increase for full-time staff beginning in January.
Here’s a Thanksgiving treat: Board members from the Maricopa Unified School District along with Orcutt | Winslow and the Chasse Building Team gave out 900 pumpkin pies to district employees for the holiday. .
And the governor’s top medical adviser said Tuesday that COVID infections could be cut sharply if more people would wear masks. His comments came as health officials warn that Arizona hospitals could be in danger of seeing an overwhelming number of COVID cases this holiday season.
Plus, in case you missed it: Arizona Water Company says the biggest challenge it faces when servicing the town of Superior isn’t pumping treated water over 1,000 feet in elevation, but instead people using the system’s pipes for target practice.
