AOTL appreciates your support and participation in the redistricting process! Here are the latest updates. 

Updates on Arizona’s redistricting process:

  1. Draft maps available! The Independent Redistricting Commission has released their draft Congressional (version 7.1) and Legislative (version 10.0) maps and can be accessed through their website here, go to > Draft Maps and scroll down.
  2. Hearings happening now: The IRC is currently hosting in-person hearings, virtual hearings and mapping support events to get public feedback on the draft maps. To view the full schedule of upcoming hearings, click here.(NOTE: Today the IRC clarified that they will be limiting input to 2 hours at the virtual events, so please sign up as soon as possible for virtual events to reserve your spot. 

Take Action :

  1. Public hearing training opportunities! 
    • One Arizona and several partner organizations will be hosting training sessions to break down the IRC’s draft maps and provide a refresher on how to testify at a public hearing. You can sign up here. 
  2. Monthly Volunteer Call, December 1st at 5pm MST. –
    • AOTL will be talking about the latest updates in the redistricting process and providing guidance on how YOU can get involved and make your voice heard! You can sign up here.
  3. If you haven’t done so already, sign our pledge to participate in a hearing and invite members of your community to do the same. We’ll send you updates about your nearest hearing and information about registering to testify. Will you pledge to provide public testimony? Sign our pledge to provide public testimony. 
  4. Following the approval of maps, there is a 30-day period for required public comments. If you can’t participate in an in-person or virtual hearing, you can submit written public comments through the Contact Us form or through their email ircadmin@azdoa.gov.
