TOMORROW, Sunday October 31st becomes a GREAT DAY to celebrate the bonds of Brotherhood.
Tomorrow, we revisit the vision of our Founders, which ignited the hope for a bond that is unparalleled. Throughout the day we will be revisiting the words that were written almost 174 years ago. For those of you who have not read the Preamble of our Constitution for a while, or for those who encounter it regularly, please join Central Fraternity Office Staff and Theta Delts from around the country and Canada in a recitation and discussion of this important document. Connect via Zoom at 18:47military time (6:47pm) in your local time zone.
Participate in one of the four 20-minute Zoom meetings where we recite and reflect on our Preamble and discuss the meaning of our Oath to Hope and Fidelity18:47 ET (6:47 PM)18:47 CT (6:47 PM)18:47 MT (6:47 PM)18:47 PT (6:47 PM)
174 Years
After 174 years, the Preamble of our Constitution remains relevant to our lives today. These words paired with the oaths that are contained in our ritual, act as guiding stars to follow, not distant shores that we are going to ever fully achieve. These words also reinforce the concept of Theta Delta Chi being an aspirational organization, focused on the improvement of the, “intellectual, moral and social being,” and the need to “pardon the faults of each, while we endeavor to improve and reform.”
It is my sincerest hope that each of you join us in spirit with either a virtual presence, a gift to the Educational Foundation, a call to a fellow brother, or perhaps all three.
As we carry out the work in support of the “Old Lady,” we don’t want your engagement, we need it. We ask for your “mutual esteem and dependence.” We ask for your fidelity beyond the years of being an undergraduate. In honor of those who were by my side in the house, and for the future brothers to roam the halls of Theta Delta Chi, I am giving. I humbly ask you to join me and other Brothers like Justin Shirk, Nu Triton ‘00.
Gifts of $500 or More Matched up to $10,000
