investment will mean to youThe Build Back Better plan, that Congress has been discussing for months, is taking shape. The expected investment to help children and families is $600 billion, which will be spent on the following:

• Universal Preschool for all 3- and 4-year-olds. This will expand access to free high-quality preschool for more than 6 million children.
• Making high-quality childcare affordable. This will limit childcare costs for working parents to no more than 7% of their income, helping about 20 million children.
• Extending the Expanded Child Tax Credit. This will provide more than 35 million American households, with continued monthly payments for another year.

If the bill passes, it will be life-changing for so many American families. 

We were particularly pleased to see that Universal Pre-K will be executed through a mixed-delivery system that folds Pre-K into all high-quality child care programs — home- or center-based.

This will fortify families’ freedom to make the best choices for their specific circumstances.

We are also delighted by the extension of the enhanced child tax credit, which we know has made a difference to so many of you.CFAC members are working tirelessly to get this over the finish line and passed by Congress in the coming weeks, so it can make a tangible difference to your life and that of your loved ones.WE NEED YOUR HELP – make sure Congress knows you want them to pass this bill! If you haven’t already, reach out to your lawmaker and tell them to vote for the Build Back Better plan, to help children and families.
