Brothers,

In less than 48 hours on Sunday, October 31, we will be celebrating the founding of Theta Delta Chi and the bonds of Brotherhood! It is truly a GREAT DAY to be a Theta Delt!

One way to celebrate Founders’ Day is by giving as generously as you can to the Educational Foundation in support of their work providing scholarships, grants and educational programs to all Charges. The official website for this event is tdxfoundersday.org where you will find opportunities to engage with brothers throughout the day, listen to conversations about hope and fidelity and much more.

As we all reflect back on our experiences in the Brotherhood and the words our Founders gave us, we remember our own collegiate experiences. We are bound by the same ritual, same oaths, and same commitments. Let Sunday be the day that you renew them.

Fidelity often is overlooked and needs to be highlighted. Being a brother does not end when we graduate, it’s a commitment for a lifetime. Norm Hackett wrote almost a century ago, “Let us not ask the selfish question, what can Theta Delta Chi do for me, but rather ask ourselves, what we can do for Theta Delta Chi?” These words sound eerily familiar to JFK’s inaugural address on January 20th, 1961, yet were printed about three decades earlier.

His words ring true today. It is our fidelity that will enhance our hope for the future. It is our fidelity that will allow us to overcome adversity, adapting to our environment. It is our fidelity that allows for the bonds of brotherhood to continue for centuries to come.

As we approach our 174th anniversary of brotherhood, I am committed to do my part to carry on our traditions and rituals. I hope that you join me, and beat the drum for others to follow your lead. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any time, talent, or treasure that you can part with to ensure the future success of our beloved Fraternity.

Please follow us all day, and consider making a gift in advance of the day by
