We’re gearing up for our biggest break ever, and we’re making sure to blow the doors off. We’ve secured an authenticated, sealed box of 1999 Pokémon 1st Edition cards. That’s the motherlode of all boxes. It’s the holy grail of Pokémon because it’s where the holo shadowless 1st Edition Charizard lives. It’ll be huge if we hit one.

We’re breaking it live on Loupe on Saturday, November 6. We teamed up with Goldin Auctions to sell most of the packs. Check it out if you’re interested in bidding. However, we set aside a handful of packs to go straight to the Loupe community. Email us at pokemon@loupetheapp.com if you want to buy one outright.

Go hit up our blog post for more details about Loupe’s Pokémon 1st Edition break. There’s so much more than we can squeeze into a newsletter. It’ll be a night to remember as we crack the wax on one of the most iconic TCG boxes of all-time.

Make sure to check everyone out whenever you see them live! We can vouch for all of them. Who knows, you might just end up with a new favorite Loupe seller.

A word from our CEO

Loupe launched 361 days ago. This Saturday, October 23, is our one-year anniversary. Be on the lookout for a letter from our CEO, Eric Doty, later this week. Who knows, he might even spill the beans on a special promotion you won’t want to miss…

There are MONSTERS in these packs

It’s spooky season, but we have some monsters that we aren’t afraid of. Sure, they might jump-scare you when you least expect it, but that’s a good problem to have. These monsters could be lurking behind any ordinary base card, and you never know where they’ll come from. You just gotta open the packs to find out.

Some monsters from this week? Ryno hit a Baker Mayfield RPA booklet out of Playbook. Gem City pulled a chunky Justin Herbert RPA out of Panini One. Casa drilled this Rob Gronkowski Encased auto /5Courtside got this slick-lookin’ Jalen Hurt rookie Downtown.

The thrills don’t stop. Hit Seekers nailed a fantastic one-two punch with this sick Tua / Dan Marino dual-auto booklet from Origins. Crackin’ Waxsummoned the GOAT with a Nolan Ryan patch auto /5 from Topps Definitive. Kentucky Roadshowfound an all-timer too with this Cristiano Ronaldo auto out of Mosaic.

We need to balance that out with something cute. How about KidBreaker’s Abyssinian Cat patch out of Upper Deck Goodwin Champions? CAT PATCH.

Loupe’s Busiest Week Ever?

Events? We got ‘em in spades. This might be the most jam-packed week in the history of Loupe. Not a bad way to close out year one, huh?

51 weeks. We’ve been doing this for 51 weeks now and it went by so fast that it feels like 51 days. This year has surpassed our wildest expectations, and we know next year is gonna be even crazier. It’s a time to reflect, but it’s also a time to look forward to the positive impact we can make on the hobby. Thanks for being #TeamLoupe.
