9/11 Pentagon Memorial
Peter,
On September 11, 2001, at 9:37am, terrorists crashed the hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 into the western facade of our nation’s military headquarters killing 184 men, women, and children.
America was suddenly and horrifically under attack from an unknown enemy.
In the days and weeks that followed, through unimaginable anguish and despair, we set aside our political, philosophical, and cultural differences, and came together as one.
Now, almost 20 years later, more than 80 million Americans are too young to remember the tragic attacks of that fateful day, but the spirit of the souls who were taken from us and the lessons we learned as a nation live on.
As we look toward the next twenty years, through the future 9/11 Pentagon Memorial Visitor Education Center and the continued efforts of the Pentagon Memorial Fund, I hope you’ll join us to ensure that we never forget and always remember.
As a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals just like you to fund our mission.
