After one of the longest legislative sessions in Arizona history, we are proud to announce the launch of our 2021 Progress Score! The Progress Score is a tool that you can use to see how progressive your legislators actually are. This year we graded legislators based on 131 different bills, with topics ranging from education, labor, criminal justice, reproductive rights, environmental issues, LGBTQ+ rights, and much more.

The 2021 Progress Score can be used similar to a search engine, by inputting your address to search for the grades that your lawmaker received. You can also filter results based on party, district, and chamber. So even if you don’t know who your state legislators are, you can easily use the tool to find out if they stood up against corporations and powerful special interest lobbyists.
The 2021 Arizona legislative session had some of the most bitter partisan battles Arizona has ever seen, with many dead and even vetoed bills being re-introduced in desperate attempts by Republicans to advance their right-wing agenda. Notably, no legislator received a perfect score of 100%, proving that ultimately there is plenty of work needed to continue advancing progressive values within our state.
