Gosar Introduces Legislation to Deport Criminal Aliens

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after introducing the Criminal Alien Removal Clarification Act, legislation that would ensure non-citizens, convicted of a felony or two or more misdemeanors, can be removed from the United States. 

“This common-sense legislation would make any alien who has committed a felony or two misdemeanors deportable. Current law only includes certain felonies and some crimes. 

Today, more than ever, we must do everything possible to close loopholes in laws that allow criminal activity to occur without consequences. My legislation gives codified guidance to the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to remove non-citizens who break our laws,” Gosar said.

“The Biden administration’s open-borders policy is inviting violent criminals into the U.S. I’m grateful that Congressman Gosar is introducing the Criminal Alien Removal Clarification Act in the House to help deport dangerous criminals who are putting American communities at risk every day,” statedSenator John Kennedy.
