“I feel sorry for people who don’t drink. When they wake up in the morning, that’s as good as they’re going to feel all day.” – Dean Martin

Dear gentleman,

‘The Gentleman List’ is back, stronger than before.

With the second part of the year started, we are ready to conquer the next months of 2021!

Hence, we deserve a drink…

Whether you are on a date in a luxury restaurant, or organize a diner at home for friends.

These are the drinks that a gentleman picks:

1. Old Fashioned.
A cocktail made by muddling sugar with bitters, adding alcohol (like whiskey or brandy), and a twist of citrus rind. Served in a round 8-12 US fl oz (240 – 350 ml) tumbler-like class. Don Draper’s (Mad Men TV series) choice of drink.

(1 Sugar Cube, 3 Angostura Bitters, 1 L Club Soda, 2 oz. Rye Whiskey)

2. Vodka Martini.
The bartender directly knows the reference when you say: “Shaken, not stirred.”

The Vodka Martini combines vodka with vermouth and ice, served in a chilled cocktail glass. The gentleman drink, chosen by James Bond, the drink became an icon for gentlemen around the world.
You can choose a dry Martini (with dry, white vermouth), a dirty Martini (splash of olive juice and garnished with an olive) or a Perfect Martini (equal amounts of sweet and dry vermouth)

3. Red wine.
Every gentleman should be capable of understanding and knowing the differences between grapes and wines. A sophisticated glass of red even has it’s health benefits such as controlling blood sugar and protecting the heart).

Will you choose a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon or a Shiraz?

And for the men who prefer a non-alcoholic drink?

4. Multiple 0% choices
Recently many brands step up their game and introduce 0% alcohol choices. My favorite picks (non-sponsored that is).

Have a look how classy these brands made their drinks look:

– Three Spirit GB (a party starter with exotic, fiery elixer with bright aromas)
– Kin Euphorics (a taste of summer, floral and supposed to can mix with almond milk)
– SipC (a rosé, made with California grapes)
– Monday Gin (complex aromas, but with a ferm kick)
– Jukes (dry and complex wines, apple cider vinegar based)

Enjoy the weekend!

Be a gentleman at heart.
