Gosar Sets the Record Straight Regarding January 6th
This week, the House Oversight and Reform Committee held a hearing entitled the Capitol Insurrection: Unexplained Delays and Unanswered Questions. Indeed, there remains many, many unanswered questions. Worse, there is much disinformation about the events of January 6. Sadly, the Democrats used this hearing to continue to spread false information and repeat narratives that simply never happened because they do not want the truth. I attended the hearing seeking answers to questions long sought by the American people. In particular, I asked the witnesses questions concerning the deaths of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick and Ashli Babbitt, the only individual killed on January 6. Officer Sicknick died of natural causes, yet Democrat House Impeachment Managers, in their zeal to impeach President Trump, repeated the false narrative that he died after being beaten in the head by a fire extinguisher. This never occurred. Democrats to this day falsely say he was murdered. Ashli Babbitt was a defenseless citizen who was shot by a still-unknown law enforcement officer. Her death has been ruled a homicide. Yet, we have very little information about her death, including who killed her. Congress and the American people deserve to know the truth about these deaths. Unfortunately, the witnesses at this sham of a hearing refused to directly answer my questions. Rest assured, I will continue to demand answers to the events that took place on January 6, including the truth about the deaths of Officer Sicknick and Ashli Babbitt.

We know that Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist and CNN contributor John Sullivan encouraged violence on January 6th. Sullivan was yelling at people to “burn” the Capitol.
I recently received this email from a person who laid out his role in the riot:
I am Antifa.
I participated in the insurrection at Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.
I herded all the trumpian idiots and forced them to attack police officers.
The best part is when they decided to hit police officers with “blue lives matter” flags!
Our idiot “law and order” trump supporters attacked our police. Nice.
All the trumpians were too stupid to realize they were breaking the law.
I told them that they had the right to be there because Capitol Hill is “our house.”
I could not believe they ate that shit right up!
Since trumpers are idiots, they were and are still getting arrested.
Since Antifa is smarter than trumpers, I got away. HAHAHA!”
As time goes on, it is likely that we will continue to get more evidence about the role of BLM and ANTIFA. That does not excuse any Trump supporter who broke windows etc. but since the Democrats continue to claim there was no ANTIFA and no BLM there we will continue to provide the truth.

This week, the nation celebrates National Police Week to honor and recognize the men and women in Blue who protect this great nation. In Arizona and throughout the country we are blessed to have dedicated and selfless law enforcement officials keeping our streets and communities safe.
Unfortunately, our brave law enforcement officers have come under attack by the liberal media and leftists who dangerously and wrongly suggest that the answer to all problems is to defund the police. This growing anti-police rhetoric is disgusting, and it threatens the safety and security of communities all across America.
On Friday, I spoke on the House floor to honor the courageous men and women in Blue, thank them for their service, and reaffirm my complete support.
To every law enforcement official and your families, thank you for your sacrifice and the leadership you provide our communities. May you never forget how appreciated you are every single day.

Did you know Dr. Fauci earns $435,000 a year to give bad information about COVID-19 while demanding people wear a mask? It’s true. Dr. Fauci is the HIGHEST paid federal employee, earning more income than Mr. Biden. Dr. Fauci has continually failed to provide Americans with accurate information about the COVID-19 pandemic and has shown distrust in the American private sector and American ingenuity.
This week I cosponsored the Fire Fauci Act, legislation that would zero out Dr. Fauci’s salary. It’s long overdue that America be free from Dr. Fauci’s anti-science approach to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Turns out that the Keystone XL Pipeline Matters…
This week, the Colonial Pipeline which supplies roughly 45% of the east coast oil supply suffered a cybersecurity breach by a Russian criminal group sending gasoline prices soaring to seven-year highs and causing fuel shortages in several states and cars to line up for blocks and blocks as people scrambled to fill up their automobiles.
It’s like we are back in the 70’s again.
Do you think now Mr. Biden might admit that cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline project on his first day in office was not such a bright idea?
The shutdown of a major fuel pipeline should be a wake-up call to the Biden Administration.
Under President Trump, we became energy independent and the number one energy producer in the world. The U.S. needs to get back to investing more in domestic oil and gas production.
Instead, Mr. Biden halted the Keystone XL pipeline project and reversed the Resolution Copper project. If Mr. Biden was really serious about rebuilding our infrastructure, he would focus on the need to be strengthening our ability to combat cyber-attacks. Nearly half the country has been brought to its knees by this cyber-attack, yet Biden’s latest spending plan allocates a paltry $13 billion out of $2.2 trillion for cyber security.
We need meaningful reform which is why I sent a letter to Mr. Biden requesting that he prioritize reforms which promote construction and permitting of new pipelines and refineries as he pursues an infrastructure bill rather than failed Green New Deal policies which make us weaker.

Other Highlights From This Week
This week, I cosponsored the Repealing Illegal Freedom and Liberty Excises (RIFLE) Act. This bill defends the Second Amendment by repealing the unconstitutional existing $200 transfer tax on guns governed under the National Firearms Act.
I wrote a letter to the Bureau of Land Management in support of an exploration plan to assess potential lithium resources in Mohave County. Lithium is a critical mineral used to create batteries. Unfortunately, today most lithium production is controlled by a handful of nations. We need to quickly advance our domestic supply of lithium to ensure manufacturing can proceed.
I cosponsored the Defund the Wuhan Institute of Virology Act to block the use of taxpayer funds from going to the Wuhan Institute. The legislation also commissions a study on how much U.S. funding it obtained over the last 15 years.
