| A New Year, a Grateful Look Back at Historic Festival 43The Skip Barber Tower stands quiet under a cover of snow, its edges softened, and the usual sounds of summer gone. It’s a good time to pause and think back on what we shared this past year. The cars are silent, the fans have gone home, but the spirit of Historic Festival 43 lingers — steady, bright, and waiting for Labor Day. HF43 was the biggest Historic Festival in Lime Rock Park’s modern history, and it simply wouldn’t have happened without you — our fans, volunteers, track workers, Right Handers, competitors, collectors, car owners, and everyone who pitched in along the way. Your love for this place and the people in it made the weekend welcoming and memorable for everyone. You’re the heart of what makes Historic Festival so special.Hall of Fame Moment 2025 also gave us moments worth savoring, including seeing Skip Barber inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. On the right, Paul Pfanner — founder of RACER Media and a lifelong friend of Skip — sharing a proud moment after delivering a heartfelt introduction worthy of a Hall of Fame induction. – Read more.Get Tickets for Historic Festival 44 Historic Festival 44 Is Taking ShapeEven as Lime Rock settles into its winter quiet, our work continues. Planning for Historic Festival 44 is well underway, and we’re excited about what lies ahead. Next year welcome the Historic Trans-Am Series, and showcase original cars driven by icons such as Sam Posey, Parnelli Jones, Dan Gurney, and Mark Donohue — drivers who helped define American road racing. Lime Rock Park became one of Trans-Am’s true battlegrounds — a place where the hillsides filled, the racing intensified, and legends were made. The cars were unforgettable: Boss 302 Mustangs, Camaro Z/28s, Javelins, Cougars, and those mighty under-two-liter Alfas that punched far above their weight. Every time Trans-Am came to Lime Rock, something special happened. We invite racers, collectors, and fans to be part of it — on track, in the paddock, at the Parade, and throughout the grounds — as Historic Trans-Am returns to Lime Rock Park. Join us at Historic Festival 44 and experience this remarkable era.An Alfa CelebrationAlfa Romeo’s place in motorsport history runs deeper than many realize — and it’s why the marque feels so at home at Lime Rock Park. Did you know? In the early days of Grand Prix and sports car racing, Alfa Romeos were campaigned by Scuderia Ferrari, led by Enzo Ferrari himself. Long before Ferrari became a manufacturer, the Ferrari badge appeared on Alfa Romeos, permanently linking two of Italy’s greatest names in motorsport. That legacy comes full circle at Historic Festival 44, where Alfa Romeo returns as our Honored Marque. Expect an exceptional gathering of historic race cars, beautifully preserved Concours examples, and Alfa owners from across the country and beyond — all celebrating one of the most influential marques in racing history. If you own, race, or collect an Alfa Romeo, Historic Festival 44 is your invitation. Join us on track, in the Concours, or in the Gathering of the Marques and be part of a celebration worthy of the marque. Registration details for owners and participants will be announced soon, and interest will be high.Get Tickets for Historic Festival 44 Sunday in the Park: A Day to Wander the Circuit with the World’s Great CarsSunday in the Park offers a quieter, more reflective chapter of Historic Festival 44, taking place on Lime Rock Park’s classic 1.5-mile circuit. With no racing on Sunday, the track becomes home to the Sunday in the Park Concours and the Gathering of the Marques — the largest show of its kind in the Northeast. The Concours will be world-class, showcasing rare and elegant automobiles, with Alfa Romeo proudly among the featured marques. Alongside it, the Gathering of the Marques is open to car lovers of every brand. If you’re proud of what you drive, this is your invitation to enter and make your way onto the circuit, where cars are displayed on track and parked among fellow enthusiasts, grouped by marque. It’s a day to walk the circuit, get up close to extraordinary cars, enjoy great food and coffee, browse hard-to-find automobilia and art, relax with a locally brewed Frostproof beer, and take in activities for kids and big kids. The day also includes our annual Haircut FunRaiser with Skip’s Barber, Corey Smith of Smitty’s Barber Shop in Sharon, Connecticut, with all proceeds benefiting the kids at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. If you own an interesting or historic Alfa Romeo and would like to have it considered for inclusion in the Sunday in the Park Concours at Historic Festival 44, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us at sundayinthepark@limerock.com to start the conversation.
