Some of the biggest trades involving prospect hauls have taken place in past Winter Meetings deals.

It remains to be seen whether this year will follow suit, but as team executives prepare to travel to San Diego, MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo got together to take a look back at some of the most famous (and infamous in the case of some organizations) blockbuster deals that have occurred at the Winter Meetings.

Here is a look at six of the most popular Winter Meetings — or “Winter Meetings-adjacent” — trades involving top prospects at the time and which side won them.

Michael Conforto hasn’t played in more than a year, but here’s a case that he bounces back and ends up looking like one of the best deals of the offseason.
