| On February 14, 2026: On February 14, 2024, a tragic mass shooting erupted near Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory parade and rally celebrating their championship win. Gunfire left one person dead and at least 22 others injured, including children, as stunned fans fled the scene. Multiple suspects were detained and charged in connection with the attack, which transformed what should have been a joyful celebration into a day of loss and trauma for the community.
