1. Tempe council subcommittee will address drink spiking at bars, other nightlife venues (kjzz.org) — A new Tempe City Council subcommittee is tackling drink spiking in local nightlife venues. Working with local organizations and law enforcement, the committee aims to educate the public and improve safety in Tempe‘s vibrant nightlife scene.
2. MAP: Photo enforcement cameras coming to more than a dozen Tempe intersections (abc15.com) — Tempe is set to enhance road safety by installing photo enforcement cameras at over a dozen intersections. Starting May 7, 14 cameras will monitor speeding and red-light violations, with a 30-day warning period before fines are issued.
