It’s a big day — and we need your help

Hi Peter,

Spring hits differently in Arizona. While folks in other parts of the country are shoveling soggy April snow, we’re reapplying sunscreen and enjoying wildflower hikes. A traditional time for renewal is, in Phoenix, a last gasp of sorts before the summer chases everyone into AC hibernation.

In Phoenix, it’s a season to make the most of the moment. And for Phoenix New Times, it’s when we turn to our readers to help us grow stronger.

Today marks the start of our spring membership campaign — a critical fundraiser that helps sustain the work of my editors, writers, photographers, illustrators, and interns. The support we receive in the coming weeks will shape our budget and fuel the ambitious goals we set for the year.

In short, this campaign helps sustain New Times.

We remain wedded to our mission: Covering Phoenix to the best of our abilities, with the goal of making it and all of Arizona a better place to live. To keep our momentum going, we’ve set a goal to raise $7,500 by April 27.
