We haven’t even reached a week of the 2025 MLB season, and we’ve already seen five Top 100 prospects debut in The Show. And that brings up the question, “Who is next?”

Toronto manager John Schneider funded — with his own money — a bunting competition in Spring Training, and the results were on display in last night’s win.

The new lumber has been all the rage around Major League Baseball this week, but are they here to stay?

Some top prospects are drafted. Others are made. This is a story about the latter, and about what you really can learn from the first few days of a long Major League season.

It’s the first MLB Network Showcase of the season when Matt Olson and the Braves battle Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Paul Skenes takes the mound for the Pirates against the Rays at 1 p.m. ET, followed by an Interleague matchup between the Giants and Astros at 4 on MLB Network.
