WINTER DEATH RACE
PITTSFIELD, VERMONT
19 of our toughest Spartans tackled the infamous Winter Death Race. With frigid temperatures between -2 and 18 degrees, this course challenged runners to retrieve two large tires from a frozen pond; play tug-of-war in an icy river, and complete a scavenger hunt. How many do you think finished?
VALMOREL, FRANCE
After a fresh snowfall, the sun shone on our racers in the Alps. Runners gave it their all trekking up the steep mountain paths, but got unreal views of the snowy summits. Congratulations to our new Valmorel Spartan Winter Champions: Jérémie Gachet and Katrine Haaland Leveraas.
PITTSFIELD, VERMONT
Vermont also hosted a gritty Ultra where runners completed up to a full marathon. With 6.6km laps, this course is one of our most rigorous filled with steep, icy inclines. Congratulations to our winners:
🥇 Aiden Hesseltine 1:14:01
🥈 Samuel Norton 1:30:21
🥉 Daniel Blanchard 1:35:40
PERRIS, CALIFORNIA
Racers in SoCal got the best of both worlds with sandy beach trails looking up on the mountains. It was chillier than usual, but our racers didn’t let that stop them from taking the plunge.
24 HR HURRICANE HEAT
PITTSFIELD, VERMONT
Only seven racers attempted this 24-hour Hurricane Heat, which involved a tug-of-war with the Death Racers, hauling wood up a steep mountainside, and a scavenger hunt—because just giving you the obstacles is too easy.
