Updates From Your Club GM
Dec 20, 2024

Dear Members,

As the year comes to an end, I’d like to thank all of you, as well as the entire team, for making Encanterra such a great place to live and work. I have said it many times, but I will say it again, Encanterra truly is a special place.

Before we pop the champagne and ring in the new year, I wanted to share a couple of updates from around the Club, both looking back on 2024 and looking ahead to what’s to come in 2025. Let’s dive in:

Encanterra Holiday Fund

The Employee Holiday Fund is still available if you would like to contribute to the team, click here or you can stop by the Concierge or Business Center before December 22nd.

Food & Beverage

We hope everyone is adjusting to “winter” in the desert! With the beautiful weather we’ve been having, the patio is still a great spot to enjoy the Club, whether it’s at Palma Kitchen + Tap, The Algarve, or Solaz.

We just had our biggest Wine Showcase ever and heard some great feedback from Members about the incredible charcuterie display as well as the amazing wines and spirits that were offered.  If you missed it, you’ll have a chance to come to the next semi-annual Wine Showcase in May.

Our hope is to change the Palma menu soon and offer our Members some new and exciting favorites. We absolutely listen to feedback from Members and enjoy making the offerings at the Club something that everyone loves.

We have some new team members in the Food &Beverage department so if you see someone you don’t know, please say hello – they’re excited to meet everyone!

We are still trying to make Member charges as precise as possible and are striving for 100% accuracy. Signing ALL Member charge receipts will definitely help us ensure that you are charged for only the items you have purchased at the Club. Please be patient if some of our new team members double check the name on the Member charge since we have several same or similar last names in the neighborhood and not everyone knows every member – except for Tawny!

We hope to see you all around the Club soon and hope your holiday season is filled with fantastic food & beverage moments that are shared with the people you love. Cheers!

Let’s Talk Golf!

The first month of the season has come and gone! So far it has been great, but we wanted to take this opportunity to discuss why pace of place is so important.

Our goal each day is to have the pace of play be around 4 hours and 15 minutes. As you’re on the course, please keep the following in mind when it comes to pace of play:

  • Parking Your Cart – Park between two players’ balls, so both players can get prepared to hit their shots.
  • Play Ready Golf – Know your yardage and pick your selected club while other players are hitting their shots so that you can be ready when it’s your turn.
  • Pre-Shot Routine – Be aware how long your routine takes and keep it simple.
  • Reading Putts – Read your putt while others are putting.
  • Continuous Putting – We strongly encourage all players to continue putting once its their turn, eliminate the number of times a player marks their ball on the putting green.
  • Pick it Up / Gimmie – If not playing in “tournament conditions”, it is okay to pick up your golf ball when near the hole and give yourself the most likely score.

We are excited to have everyone out on the course, helping maintain the incredible playing conditions by being mindful of their pace of play. Thank you in advance.

Upcoming Events

  • December 24th – Christmas Eve | 9:00am Shotgun | No Tee Times. Practice Facility closes at 2:00pm.
  • December 25th – Christmas Day | CLOSED

We look forward to everyone having a happy and healthy holiday season.

Golf Dues Increase

On January 1st 2025, Golf Dues will increase to $640.00 per month for a single. The Family Dues will increase to $960.00 from $900.00 per month. The Initiation Fee will increase to $75,000.00 from $60,000.00.

Golf Course Maintenance Updates

The golf season is in full force and this year’s overseed has filled in nicely. The warmer weather has given the maintenance staff the opportunity to spot seed some of the thin areas and we’ve seen some good growth on areas continuing to fill in. As we get into cooler temperatures and shorter days, the turfgrass growth will slow and frost delays may occur. Remember, frost also affects the golf maintenance staff as all course preparations are delayed until the frost has lifted.

As we all enjoy the beautiful golf course here at Encanterra, let’s remember to fill our divots and repair our own ball marks as well as a few others. Failing to repair a ball mark can seem like a minor oversight, but there are lasting consequences, not only for playability, but also in overall turf health. Unrepaired or incorrectly repaired ball marks can take several weeks to heal versus a correctly repaired ball mark. See some helpful tips below:

From the entire golf department, we wish you all a happy holiday season!

Lifestyle

Tis the season to be jolly and your Lifestyle Team’s number one goal is to bring the merry, so you all have a jolly good holiday season!

December has been full of fun and festive activities and events, including our Holiday Stroll. We saw TONS of decorated golf carts and festive people dressed up for the holiday season! Thanks for making such a special day and being a part of such a great cause to gather the most donations for Toys for Tots in all of Pinal County.

The holiday fun doesn’t stop there. Bring your family and friends and join us on December 23rd for Krismas Karaoke at La Cocina Fire Pit. It might be chilly so bring a jacket!

Then, we will finish off the month and the year with our annual New Year’s Eve Glitz & Glam party!  A night of great food and music, all celebrated with your closest friends and family. Tickets available until December 26th.

We are wishing you all a wonderful holiday and we look forward to you coming out to have some fun with your Lifestyle Team in 2025; everything we do is for you!

Friendly Reminders

Parking for Mail Pick-Up and at The Algarve

Please do not park in the mail parking spots unless you are picking up your mail. If you are golfing, working out, or dining, please refrain from parking in the mail parking spots.

We would like to remind Members that driving or parking on predestination pathways is not permitted. This includes all foot pathways around La Casa Clubhouse, Algarve, Santorini’s Studio, Solaz, and throughout all neighborhoods. This includes Golf Carts, Motorcycles, and Motorized Scooters. This is for the safety of all of our Members.

Outside Food and Beverage

We would like to remind Members that outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are not permitted on campus. Bringing outside alcoholic beverages onto Club property is never allowed at any time. This jeopardizes our liquor license for the entire property, including the golf course. We thank you for your cooperation!

Please Do Not Speed and Be Mindful of Your Neighbors

Please follow the speed limit and rules of the road within the community. When driving a golf car please drive carefully around the Clubhouse, on paths and at intersections. Only golfers playing golf should be on the course cart paths.

We Love Your Pets

While we know that many of you like to take your dogs for walks and enjoy the beautiful weather, we would just like to remind you to please pick up after your pet and to refrain from walking on the golf course. In addition, we would like to remind you that no animals, except Service Animals, are allowed in the Clubhouse. Below are the Encanterra Rules & Regulations regarding pets:

Pets and Service Animals are subject to different laws and rules with regard to public areas. Service animals are not pets and are not subject to restrictions as to where they may go so long as they are with their handler at all times and the animal is under the control of the handler. Control means the animal must be on a leash or harness unless such restriction would interfere with the animal’s specific work or task. In such limited cases, the animal must be at the handler’s side and under voice control. A service animal that is not under control may be required to leave the property. No animal, including a service animal, may eat from a table or be placed on a bar. Only dogs or miniature horses may be service animals under the ADA.

Pets, in contrast to service animals, are welcome only in certain locations and are specifically excluded from other locations such as the pool, restaurants or bars, the golf course and club facilities without prior written consent. Pets must always be on a leash and under control. Property rules on service animals and an explanation of the federal and state law regarding service animals, comfort animals, therapy animals, and pets is listed on the Club website.
