Rh factor
Rh factor (or Rhesus factor) is a protein inherited from your biological parents found on the surface of red blood cells. If you have this protein, you’re Rh-positive. If you don’t, you’re Rh-negative. A plus or minus is added to the 8 most common blood types to indicate your Rh factor status.
