Leaders of what was originally a five-member alliance — Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — held discussions recently with more than twenty other nations, including the UAE and Iran — which have recently joined. The sky-high desertion rates come as Ukraine is having more difficulty getting men to sign up for combat.
