When someone asks St. Jude patient Antonio who his best friend is, he does not hesitate. His response, “My dad.”
The father and son duo have shared countless moments of joy over the years, including a love for graphic design, video editing, playing games and watching movies.
But, in 2020, Antonio’s parents noticed that their son’s hands had turned a yellowish tone. After further testing, Antonio was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
The diagnosis didn’t stop their connection though. It grew even stronger in 2023, when Sebastián, Antonio’s dad, became a bone marrow donor for his son as part of a clinical trial at St. Jude. Read more about their journey.
