MORE THAN 1000 VINTAGE AND RACE CARS TURN OUT FOR SUNDAY IN THE PARK

While Friday, Saturday and Monday of Historic Festival 42 are dedicated to the raw power and performance of vintage racing, Sunday is reserved for celebrating the speed, beauty and tradition of automobiles with The Lime Rock Concours and Gathering of the Marques.

OVER 100 YEARS OF AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY REPRESENTED AT LIME ROCK PARK HISTORIC FESTIVAL 42

Mother Nature favored Lime Rock Park this Labor Day weekend as the Connecticut circuit celebrated the 42nd iteration of the track’s renowned Historic Festival. Celebrating 60 years of the Ford Mustang and Ford Performance alongside the new featured Toyo Tire Turn of the Century World Challenge race group, the Festival featured nearly 1,400 rare and historic cars, from the Historic Festival Parade presented by NBT Bank, to the Hemmings Collectors Car Market Place and Hagerty corrals, to the grids and Sunday in The Park, over the five-day event.

THE PISTON FOUNDATION AWARDS THIRD PISTON TECHNICIAN AWARD AT LIME ROCK PARK’S HISTORIC FESTIVAL 42

The Piston Foundation, in partnership with Lime Rock Park, today presented its third annual Piston Technician Award to Davin Lindy at the Lime Rock Park Historic Festival 42.

“I think what The Piston Foundation is doing is great,” Lindy told the HF42 crowd on Monday. “Giving young people an opportunity to explore the potential of what they can do with the technology that’s involved here in racing, whether it be old or new, with a chance to learn and be hands on, is a fantastic opportunity.”

“As Lime Rock Park celebrates its 67th year of operation, it does so with a deep sense of gratitude and reverence for the man whose vision and passion have left an indelible mark on this iconic racetrack,” said Lime Rock Park President Dicky Riegel. “His commitment to excellence and his relentless pursuit of innovation have earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and racing fans. The Year of Skip Barber is a fitting tribute to a man whose passion for motorsports knows no bounds.”
