Three local high school graduates traveled to Chicago for a weeklong conference with the Maricopa-based nonprofit Be Awesome Coalition. Be Awesome is focused on empowering youth through mentoring, education, and community programs. Read more about the students’ trip.
Meanwhile, in Coolidge, city staff believe housing, businesses and restaurants coming to the city will keep moving through the process. Restaurants like Wendy’s are already in motion to come to Coolidge, and staff are confident there are more to come.
