Rapamycin is currently approved for use as a post-transplant immunosuppression drug and for other rare diseases. However, tests in animals showed that rapamycin extended the lifespan of mice by 9 to 14 percent, and has been shown to stimulate hair regrowth, increase collagen, and help with cancer and other aging-related diseases.
