When Violet arrived at our Pet Health Centers, she was diagnosed with Demodex, an infection caused by small mites that live in the hair follicle. The stress of her abandonment and insufficient nutrition through pregnancy and lactation likely exacerbated the infection… but this brave girl continued to do all she could to nurse her pups and keep them safe until help arrived.
