Mount Vernon

Dear ,

You are an essential member of the Mount Vernon community.

Our Annual Summer Fund is in full swing, and I am reaching out to you, personally, because we need your support this year. Thanks to the generosity of donors, like you, we remain on the cutting edge of preservation.

In fact, most recently, we discovered intact 18th-century preserved cherries in glass bottles in George Washington’s cellar!

This unique and exciting discovery occurred as a direct result of the ongoing Mansion Revitalization Project, which is:

  • Repairing sections of the Mansion’s framing and masonry;
  • Improving drainage in and around the Mansion’s cellar, and;
  • Designing and installing a new heating/ventilation/air conditioning system (HVAC) for the Mansion.

, can we count on your support today?

Your gift to our Annual Summer Fund will ensure George Washington’s home can continue inspiring and educating millions of visitors for years to come. You also continue bringing history to life through groundbreaking discoveries and world-class exhibits and programs.

Thank you for your generosity.

My very best regards,

Doug Bradburn, Ph.D.
President & CEO
