Dear RJ,
Our collective voices will shape the future of democracy. The work we do at the Center for Common Ground to mobilize Black voters in the South is critical, as systemic inequalities have historically plagued this region: voter suppression, gerrymandering, and divisive tactics. Black voters continue to be ignored by political candidates and campaigns, and without outreach, they may believe their voices do not matter and choose to stay home this election.
We have set an ambitious goal for this election: reaching 18 million Black voters in our target states and increasing Black voter turnout by 10%. Our campaign will engage Black voters in Virginia, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina, Arizona, and Florida.
Will you help us reach this goal? By supporting our efforts, you’ll be contributing to a brighter future for everyone – one where we can work together towards the common goal of protecting democracy, free from the shackles of strategic racism, and where everyone’s voices can be heard.
