Update on our Texas storm rescues

Peter, update: 11 dogs from Texas arrived at our campus today, and we’re busy getting them all medically evaluated and settled.

These kinds of transports – where we’re taking in homeless animals living at local shelters to free up kennel space – is critical for animals displaced by devastating floods in recent days so they have the best shot at reuniting with their families.

Our no-kill mission means we’ll always be there for animals in need, but it doesn’t come easy. And the dog overpopulation crisis nipping at our heels doesn’t make it any easier. We need the support of compassionate people like you to make sure these dogs feel loved and cared for until they meet their new families. Will you rush an urgent gift to help?

Peter, Rush a Gift to Support Them
Peter, while devastating floods sweep across the southwest, we’re preparing an initial transport of 11 rescue dogs from the SPCA of Polk County, Texas to make space for displaced animals. We plan on taking even more later this month… and we urgently need your help to care for them. Will you make an emergency gift now?

For animals displaced by the storms, entering a local shelter is the best shot they have at reuniting with their families. And for many of the dogs on their way to Port Washington, we’re their best shot at finding a loving home at all. Because every one of these innocent animals deserves the very best care and a loving family, we had to step in.

Our no-kill promise means we will provide these pups with everything they need to thrive, but we can’t do it without compassionate animal lovers like you. Please make an emergency gift to North Shore Animal League America right away.
