Meanwhile, in Maricopa, the police department arrived at Copper Sky Regional Park during the Pop-Up Spring Carnival on Friday in response to a fight between a large group of juveniles. Local Facebook groups were quick to report a rumored shooting at the carnival grounds. City spokesperson Monica Williams said the speculation was unfounded and that there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
