Chocolate has been associated with the celebration of Easter for over a century. The classic cocoa-based eggs and bunnies were first made in the late 1800s but here in the UK, there’s another sweet delicacy boasting an even longer tradition. Dating all the way back to mediaeval times, Simnel Cake is a tasty fruit cake with a layer of marzipan, topped with eleven balls of the same.
