With a plan to bring middle schools back starting in the 2025-2026 school year, the Florence Unified School District will be hosting meetings on Mondays in April to gather community input and share information. Here’s what the proposed changes would look like for Florence Schools.
And while this year’s election cycle is kicking into full gear, county officials have already started thinking a couple of years ahead. Voters will have the opportunity to decide whether a half-cent sales tax that helps fund road pavements and improvements across the county should continue in the 2026 election. The Eloy City Council was recently given an update on the sales tax, which has been in effect since 1986, and which is brought back to voters every 20 years.
Plus, there’s an exciting new event on the horizon for the city of Maricopa — a pop-up spring carnival. The carnival, planned for two weekends this month, will bring a slew of rides to Copper Sky Regional Park. Learn more here. |
