Celebrate Pennsylvania’s 343rd Birthday!

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania invites visitors to explore its premier collection of historic trains with free admission in observance of Charter Day on Sunday, March 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Charter Day commemorates the 343rd birthday of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The original charter for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was signed by King Charles II in March 1681, in recognition of the loyalty of William Penn’s deceased father to the English monarchy, and conveying the tract of land that is now Pennsylvania to William Penn.
