Today’ Question

Venus, often referred to as the sister planet of Earth, has an interesting characteristic which sets it apart from all the other eight planets in our solar system. Unlike the other planets, Venus rotates clockwise. This means that if you could stand on Venus, the sun would rise in the west and set in the east, completely opposite to what we experience on Earth. This particular rotation is not the only thing that makes Venus unique. It’s also the hottest planet with the surface temperature hot enough to melt lead. So while Venus may have clockwise rotation, it’s not a planet that humans would easily consider as a home away from home.
