The Baseball Writers’ Association of America Hall of Fame ballot boom was back in a big way Tuesday night, with the announcement that three more all-time greats are headed to Cooperstown. Adrián Beltré, Todd Helton and Joe Mauer will be joining Jim Leyland in a robust Class of 2024.

Todd Helton debuted on the BBWAA Hall of Fame ballot in 2019 and drew just 16.5% of the vote. His climb to the 75% threshold five years later is one of the largest increases in voting history.

Like the Oscars, it’s an honor to be nominated.
