Hello All,
Perhaps a picture will have a larger impact on our debt problem than just a few numbers. For the life of me I can not understand why no one in DC, (or the media which covers our capitol) talks about this problem which, if not addressed, will take down everyone except the exceptionally rich.
As of 11:47 PM 01/11/24 the national debt stood at: $34,028,169,305,402.00, up $24,677,214,492.00 since the beginning of the year in just 11 days.
The interest on the national debt is $727,774,809,894.00, By Labor Day 2024 the interest on our national debt will exceed our Defense budget. Is that sustainable?
