Good morning RJ,
For the third consecutive year in a row, Eloy will host its own Wreaths Across America ceremony, designed to honor fallen veterans. You can find details about the ceremony, held at Eloy Memorial Park, here. More than 400 wreaths will be made available at the event, and each veteran grave will receive a wreath.
In other local news, Florence native Airman Elijah Fields is in training to become a rescue swimmer with the U.S. Navy. Fields serves at the Aviation Rescue Swimmer School, which provides survival training and CPR qualifications to all preflight student naval aviators and student naval flight officers. Swimmers are tasked with completing life-saving missions like evacuating families during storms, rescuing crews off ships on the Pacific coast or saving mountain climbers. See what Fields had to say.
Plus, there are only a few hours left to bid on a number of items available at the Pinal County Historical Museum’s online silent auction. All items were donated to help PCHM raise funds. Find out more about the auction, including when it ends, here. |
