Anyone who has connections inside of ZAKA knows, Natan Kenig is a hero.
Natan is a hardworking father of 4 who has been volunteering for ZAKA for many years. When the October 7th massacre happened, Natan immediately packed his things and drove down to Kibbutz Be’eri, as well as the site of the infamous ‘desert party.’
For 40 days, Natan has worked from the early morning until the night, cleaning up body parts and saving corpses from wreckage. He has seen many difficult things in his life, but nothing like this. Much of the footage taken of the atrocities which moved journalists to tears was recorded by Natan.
Now his life is in wreckage too.
After over a month of this grueling and traumatizing work, Natan is drained. He is a volunteer, who has not made an income for his countless hours doing the mitzvah of ‘kavod hameis.’ He is overwhelmed with debts, and has even been kicked out of his home for not having rent. He has nowhere to go home to, four children relying on him, and is battling PTSD. The situation is extremely difficult.
After everything he has done, please help tell Natan “Thank you” by donating here. Together, we can show the Kenig family that they are not alone, and that Natan’s hard-earned mitzvos are priceless to us.
