Rural Road lane restrictions to start Nov. 6

Tempe, AZ – Rural Road will be narrowed to one lane in each direction near U.S. 60 starting Nov. 6 for planned construction. The lane closures will last for approximately nine weeks.

Delays are expected on Rural Road from north of Southern Avenue to Baseline Road and beyond. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, such as McClintock Drive or Mill Avenue, instead.

Access to U.S. 60 from Rural Road will still be available, as will access to area businesses and neighborhoods.

Those visiting Tempe History Museum, Tempe Public Library, Pyle Adult Recreation Center or Edna Arts should use the Southern Avenue street entrance.
