Wisconsin conservatives are trying to overturn the will of the people and we can’t let them.
After months of non-stop organizing, Rise and other allies on the ground helped to elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz, cementing a Democratic majority in the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
But now Wisconsin conservatives are threatening to impeach Judge Janet before she’s even heard her first case.
We can’t emphasize enough how unconstitutional this is. Judge Janet hasn’t done anything impeachable, but conservatives want her off the bench because they know she will block their attempts to restrict abortion, weaken voting rights, and gerrymander their districts.
We need to send a message to Wisconsin conservatives that we won’t let them roll back the progress we’ve made in the state. Sign the petition and tell them not to impeach Judge Janet!
Wisconsin conservatives are saying the quiet part out loud with their threats to impeach Judge Janet. They will do ANYTHING to regain power over the state Supreme Court so they can continue purging voter rolls, creating hard-to-follow new voting rules and restrictions, attempting to restrict abortion access, and undermining our democracy at every turn.
Wisconsin is already one of the most gerrymandered states in the country—and if they impeach a Judge who was democratically elected by the people, there will be no end to their attacks on our freedoms.
Judge Janet was elected by the people and she deserves to serve them on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Sign the petition and tell Wisconsin conservatives not to impeach Judge Janet! >>
