Good Morning Everyone,
As we close in on the 2023 Overseed, I wanted to give a brief overview of the upcoming plans and what members of Encanterra can expect from the golf course and the Sports Shop.
- Week of September 11th – Starting this week the Agronomy team will be spraying growth regulator to slow down Bermuda growth.
- Week of September 18th – Starting this week the Agronomy team will being lowering the heights of the fairway and rough.
- Week of September 25th – Starting this week the Agronomy team will continue lowering the heights of the entire golf course. Growth regulator will be sprayed to help reduce clippings. The golf course will begin to turn “Blonde”, as we prep for final mow heights
- Week of October 2nd – Starting this week the Agronomy team will lower the heights and verti-cut on the entire golf course in final preparation for dropping seed.
October 2nd – 29th – All Golf facilities will be closed. This includes the course, the driving range, and all other areas. During this time, the golf course and the cart path should be vacant from all members use.
At no point during the closure should carts, scooters, bikes, running, or walking be done on the golf course. Once the Agronomy team has planted seed, the turf is extremely sensitive in its early stages of growth. All traffic that occurs on the course could damage the turf for the entire season.
Sports Shop Hours
These hours are tentative until further notice, it is possible with Sports Shop Refresh, that the Sports Shop may be closed at times during Overseed.
- Until October 1st – 6:30am to 3:00pm
- October 2 – 29th – 8:00am to 2:00pm
- October 30th – 6:30am to 5:00pm
Thank you,
