Special Counsel to Indict Hunter Biden
Special Counsel David Weiss says he plans to seek a grand jury indictment of Hunter Biden before the end of the month, according to court documents filed Wednesday.
The filing came in relation to Biden’s gun possession case, in which he’s accused of lying about drug use while possessing a gun, but prosecutors didn’t specify what specific charges they’d seek.
Weiss was appointed Special Counsel after a plea deal between Biden and the Justice Department fell apart under a judge’s questioning in court.
Cars Labeled Worst ‘Privacy Nightmare’ in U.S.
Cars are the worst products in America at protecting consumers’ data and privacy, according to a new report from the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation, which reviewed 25 auto brands and labeled them all a “privacy nightmare.”
Cars have become data-gobbling digital machines that offer consumers no privacy protections when selling personal data to third-party companies, many of which partner with carmakers.
Parents in an Irish town outside Dublin have banded together in a pioneering program to ban smartphones for all children until they finish elementary school. The goal is to have no child feel they’re the only ones without a phone.
The agreement is voluntary, but parent associations at all eight schools in the town of Greystones have agreed to pull the plug on phones for younger children in an effort to fight anxiety and exposure to adult material.
The Irish health minister has called for the plan to be implemented nationally, comparing it to governments regulating “food and drink and medicines.”
