Peter, as locals continue search-and-rescue efforts in Lahaina in the wake of devastating fires, we’re doing our part to save as many animal lives as we can. That’s why 20 cats are on their way to our no-kill campus to make sure those who suffered the fires have the best chance of survival – and they need your help.
These felines, most of whom are just 5 or 6 months old, were already in shelters before the fires broke across Maui earlier this month. Now that recovery efforts are underway, every space in a shelter we’re able to clear is one more spot for a pet who has been displaced from their home.
We’re working with shelter partner Lucky Paws in O’ahu to transport these felines to our no-kill campus. And once they’re here, we will provide all the care and love they need before finding them responsible, loving homes.
While rescue efforts are underway in Maui, we’re also keeping an eye on Hurricane Idalia. As this dangerous storm ravages counties in Florida, we are in contact with our shelter partners in the area to coordinate potential shelter animal rescues and other relief efforts.
Please help us support and care for these animals with an urgent gift now. |
