We’re starting the week with an incident that occured in Coolidge over the weekend. The Coolidge Police Department reported an officer involved shooting after a 74-year-old man, who had allegedly been making suicidal statements, pointed a gun at an officer. The incident is currently under investigation.
In local sports, the Vista Grande Spartans hit the road on Friday to play their season opener. The Spartan’s first game of 2023 couldn’t have gone better, defeating the Rio Rico Hawks handily. Check out the full recap here.
