Bobby Gardiner

Bobby is not only a legendary box player, but he’s also the mentor of our Ultimate Accordion Masterclass instructor, Benny McCarthy. Bobby has left an indelible mark on Irish music with his work with various groups, including the Bru Boru troupe, as well as his mentoring of some of Ireland’s great players.

Born into a musical family in Co. Galway, Joe moved all around the world and helped spread the enjoyment of Irish traditional music. He was a founding member of the famous Tulla Céilí, a group beloved by trad fans all over.

Jackie was born and raised in an area in the south of Ireland known as Sliabh Luachra and has helped spread the area’s unique musical sound. He is a hugely influential figure in traditional music and played a major role in reviving the popularity of the accordion.
