Gosar Attends Joint Meeting of Congress, Welcomes Israeli President Herzog
This week, Members of Congress and Senators from both sides of the aisle welcomed Israeli President Herzog to Congress. During his address, President Herzog affirmed and reinforced the alliance between the United States and Israel.
Israel is America’s greatest friend and closest ally in the Middle East. Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, both countries have shown unwavering support in our united goal in defense of our shared values, freedoms and peace. This relationship has transcended political affiliations and has remained a pillar of U.S. – Israeli foreign policy and diplomacy.

Gosar Votes Once Again to Support the State of Israel
Because of hateful, antisemitic remarks by Representative Jayapal just days before Israeli President Herzog was to address a Joint Meeting of Congress, the House of Representatives was forced to pause from ordinary business to vote expressing the sense of Congress supporting the State of Israel. Rep. Jayapal engaged in hateful speech, labelling the entire nation of Israel as “racist” because of her strong hatred and antipathy towards the Jewish people.
As our strongest ally in the Middle East, it is in the vital interest of the United States to stand together with Israel against a rising tide of extremism. During his address, President Herzog pointed out the growing antisemitism, including people who consider Israel an “apartheid state” or a “racist nation.”
There is zero room in our society for these vile, hateful and bigoted comments in the Halls of Congress. I will never shy away from my long-standing support for Israel. The anti-Jewish and anti-Israel statements by members of Congress must be condemned.

Gosar Hosts Field Hearing Regarding Critical Minerals Before a Packed House
As the Chairman of the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I hosted several Members of Congress for a site visit and a field hearing in Goodyear on Friday to discuss the importance of accessing American critical minerals in order to secure supply chains and ensure national security.
United States has an alarming reliance on foreign nations to meet our demand for minerals. Yet, the Biden administration is hellbent on stopping mining in this country, including Arizona.
Recent actions from the Biden administration have shut down domestic mining projects and severely limited America’s capacity to meet the demands of increased renewable energy source. The anti-mining actions by the Biden administration hurt America’s economy, threaten our national security, and push mineral production abroad.
This week’s field hearing exposed the irrationality of the Biden administration and highlighted the access to minerals we have here in America, particularly in the Southwest, if only our federal bureaucracy could get out of the way.
I would like to thank all those travelled from all parts of the state for attending. I am thankful to the witnesses for their important testimony and sincerely thank Vice Chairman Mike Collins (GA) and Arizona Representatives Andy Biggs, Juan Ciscomani, Eli Crane and Debbie Lesko for participating in the hearing.

Gosar Questions IRS Whistleblowers about the Big Guy and the Biden Criminal Investigation
This week, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability on which I serve held a hearing with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers on the Biden criminal investigation. At the hearing, IRS whistleblowers who investigated Hunter Biden’s evasion of taxes on his $8.3 million in income exposed the Department of Justice’s politicization and misconduct during the investigation.
I had the opportunity to ask the whistleblower, Supervisory Special Agent Shapley, a few questions about the Department of Justice’s efforts to prevent investigators from following evidence that could have led to Joe Biden. Special Agent Shapley told me that the FBI never obtained geolocation data to determine whether Joe Biden was in the room when Hunter Biden demanded payment from a Chinese company:
Rep. Gosar: “Did the DOJ prosecutors deny your request to look into the famous quote, ‘I’m sitting here with my father’ texts from Hunter Biden? Did they allow you to obtain location information to see where the text was sent from?”
Mr. Ziegler: “So I know it was an issue that came up whether we can get the location data, and I know that that was a conversation that I would have had with the assigned prosecutors. I recall them saying to me, ‘how do we know that he’s there, how do we know that that’s true the statement that’s being made there, and then I said that we would get the location data. So as a part of my normal investigation, that’s what I would do. What I can tell you is I know I didn’t do it. I don’t know if the FBI ever ended up doing it. It was kind of like a ‘I need to think about it,’ I guess is the proper response.”
The IRS whistleblowers provided evidence of the Justice Department’s politicization and misconduct in the Biden criminal investigation, and they confirmed they were not allowed to follow evidence that could have led to Joe Biden. Their testimony confirms the Oversight Committee’s findings to date about the Biden crime syndicate’s influence peddling schemes. Any fair-minded individual will admit the whistleblowers’ testimony was credible. House Republicans will not stop in our investigations to uncover the truth.
It’s Official: Biden Stops Funding and Participation in the Wuhan Covid Lab
As most of my readers already know, the Covid-19 virus was a man-made manipulated virus, done by researchers using U.S. taxpayer money in Wuhan, China. The process, called “gain of function” involves taking a highly transmissible virus, like a common cold virus or corona virus, and then altering it genetically to make it more lethal.
For more than two years, Dr. “Death” Fauci has been lying to Americans. Just to remind all Gosar Newsletter readers: Dr. Fauci was the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) until the end of 2022 and was responsible for signing off on research grants. He testified under oath before the United States Senate that his former department “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” Rightfully so, Senator Rand Paul this week wrote to the Attorney General calling for an investigation into whether Fauci committed perjury.
Also this week, Biden announced the U.S. has pulled out of funding and participation in the Wuhan lab. It’s about time, but it won’t undo the harm already inflicted on the world.
You may ask, why would anyone want to make a highly lethal virus? Isn’t that a crime against humanity? Isn’t biological warfare illegal under international law? The facts are this type of research is illegal and is a crime against humanity. If you know anyone who died, or you yourself got sick from Covid, you have been victimized by a manipulated virus. And you paid for your own sickness as it was taxpayer money that was used. The pandemic was an awful period in American history. The next step is truth, reconciliation and reparations for the harm caused by the NIH, Fauci and others.
Gosar Meets with Hungarian Delegation in Washington D.C.
This week, I had the privilege of meeting with a delegation of officials from Hungary including Gergely Gulyas, Chief of Staff for Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The story of the Hungarian resurgence, its prosperity and its calmness while being surrounded by chaos, is an inspiration to the world. Prime Minister Orbán took a country left in ruins by the socialists—a result repeated around the world by all socialist governments—and set about rebuilding his nation from the ground up by focusing on families, border security and building its own economy.
You’re Invited to My Upcoming Social Security Roundtable
It’s Mail Time!
I have received nearly 4,000 thousand letters this month and I appreciate hearing from everyone. Here’s a small sample of the letters I received just this week:
Sandy C. from Prescott shares her thoughts about Representative Jayapal:
Thank you so much for standing up for America and Israel. These horrible antisemites in Congress need to be censured.
Well said, Sandy. I’m disgusted by the remarks of some of my colleagues in Congress and am very concerned about the hateful rhetoric coming from the Left. Their words are deplorable.
Sandra W. from Dewey shares:
God Blesses those that Bless Israel and curses those that curse Israel.
Numbers 24:9
Genesis 12:3
Thank you Congressman GOSAR for supporting Israel!
Sandra, Thank you for the scripture references. The book of Psalms also says that the Lord has been favorable to Israel’s land. (Psalm 85:1). I stand with Israel today!
Doug D. from Mohave Valley writes:
Thank you, Congressman, for your weekly updates. Our country is a mess. Never in my 60 plus years have I ever seen anything like this. Lie after lie, crime after crime, corruption throughout all levels of government and such a blatant hatred by so many of this country, my country, The United States of America.
I am pissed. Everyone I know is too. But we see nothing happening. We see those who hate our country, kiss the ass of Ukraine and support transgender mutilation right there front and center all over the media. Racism is bad, very bad and it is not White Supremacy. It’s liberal judges, DA’s and frankly politicians who are OK with it. Is it Ok when some thug drives around the streets of New York shooting a white 87 year-old man. How about Jack Smith, Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray? Blatant disregard for Americans rights, interfering in elections and lying, as well as fabricating charges against President Trump. Michigan’s Attorney General is charging what, 16 Republicans, who she claims falsely claimed Donald Trump won the 2020 election. Can’t do that really, but hey when you’re a corrupt lib and congress won’t do diddly, go for it.
I have never ever voted Democrat and will never. But I will not give one penny to the RNC, GOP or whatever they call themselves. They are truly whimps, cowards and corrupt themselves.
So, after all of this I wanted to actually respond to your support of Israel. The hell with caring about any other country but this one right now. She’s damaged, hurt and nobody in DC gives a shit. Prove me wrong. Do something, no more talk, please, it’s time for action.
In ending, I and my wife attended the Coffee with The Congressman at Hoochies 95 in Fort Mohave AZ when you spoke there a while back. Thank you, we enjoyed seeing and hearing from you.
Doug, thanks for the note. I understand your frustration. I am pissed, too. But I harness that frustration and go to Washington every week to push back against the leftists hellbent on destroying our country. I agree we should be taking care of our own citizens. For example, sending $200 billion to Ukraine for a proxy war while our southern border is being invaded, our roads and bridges in shambles and our people suffering is down-right criminal in my opinion. The list goes on and on. But we cannot turn our back on Israel. Israel is the only country in the Middle East who value the rights of all people, religion and the press. They have survived as a nation against all odds, suffered unprovoked wars, genocide and even abhorrent rhetoric, some by my colleagues in Congress. It cannot be overstated how important Israel is to America. Militarily, economically and technologically Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East and leading power in that region.
Allyson P. from Surprise is frustrated and writes:
Paul, I am happy with your performance in Congress. However, I am extremely unhappy about what I have seen in the past two days with the conduct of the democrats during these events and hearings. I have NEVER, in my life, seen such a disrespectful and hateful way. I, an American citizen, from my birth, LOVE my Country. This is a disgrace! I am with Dick Morris on shutting down all funding until they stop their illegal lies, hate and twisting of the truth and censorship. I would very much like to hear back from you regarding this!
Dear Allyson, I appreciate your note. The democrat party has been completely hijacked by woke leftists determined to tear down America. Their rhetoric and actions are abhorrent but calculated. You see, it’s all about power for those on the left. And the more they divide America is, the more Big Government can take over our lives and tell us what to watch, what to listen to, how to educate our children, what medicine to take and even what beer we should drink! Understand this is their worn-out play book. But America is waking up and pushing back against the woke policies that are destroying our country and creating a culture of servitude to more government. And my colleagues and I are going through every funding bill line by line looking to defund policies that fund their lies and hatred. Take the recently passed NDAA for example. It included legislation prohibiting the Secretary of Defense from paying for or reimbursing expenses relating to abortion services, establishes a Special Inspector General officer charged with overseeing all military and non-military U.S. assistance appropriated or made available for Ukraine, prohibits the Department of Defense from making participation in training or support for certain race-based concepts, including Critical Race Theory, a requirement for hiring, promotion, or retention of individuals and ends wokeness in the military by eliminating funding for drag shows and halting the Navy’s promotion of a drag queen as a “Digital Ambassador.” There’s more to do, that’s for sure but you can be assured that am pushing back against the left’s radical woke ideology.
Barry C. from Phoenix thoughtfully writes:
Dear Congressman Gosar,
I usually disagree with your politics and domestic issues. However, I want to thank you for your continued support of Israel and publicly standing against the hateful and divisive remarks of Rep. Jayapal. Her remarks demonstrate the type of thinking that is preventing Congress and the American society from working together to solve the many incredibly significant and far reaching issues and problems that face us today and will affect my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and beyond.
I appreciate your candor and willingness to hear from your opponents AND supporters and again for calling out behavior and shameful speech that creates controversy and discord.
Dear Barry, thanks for note. We don’t always have to agree and that’s okay! I respect differing opinions, particularly those that are articulate and thoughtful as opposed to the Left’s usual name-calling! But I’m heartened to know that we both agree that remarks made by Rep. Jayapal are offensive. Her remarks endanger our Jewish community and relationship with the State of Israel.
