Time is running out to apply for funding during Petco Love’s largest and most anticipated grant application cycle of the year! Open exclusively to our animal welfare partners, this application window closes July 31st. If your organization performs sheltering and adoptions, don’t miss this opportunity to receive lifesaving grant investments.

Organizations eligible* for funding during this grant cycle include:

• Animal control agencies and nonprofit organizations responsible for animal control sheltering

• SPCA/humane societies and other nonprofits operating primarily from an animal sheltering facility

• Nonprofit organizations that are primarily foster-based rescues

• TNR organizations that perform adoptions

Hint: How to Increase Your Org’s Grant Award

Doing adoptions at Petco is the #1 way to increase your grant award! In fact, the more adoptions your org performs annually at Petco**, the greater your grant award! In addition to habitats and adoption centers being open for adoptions, weekend adoption events are welcome and highly encouraged. Contact your local Petco’s General Manager to inquire about habitat availability and plan adoption events.

*Organizations must have a minimum total intake of 250 animals for the previous year, as reported on your Annual Data Report, to qualify for grant funding in this cycle.

July is a great time to ensure your adopters understand the importance of registering their pet with Petco Love Lost ahead of crisis, how to prevent their pet from going missing, and what to do if the unthinkable happens. Meet Watson!

Watson came to his mom, Niki, as a wiggly 7-month-old kitten from a shelter in Denver. Niki, an avid kitten foster parent/person, worked her magic and made Watson living proof that even the most particular of cats can convert to an expert cuddler and “Foster Uncle.”
