Hayner Maple Rye launches this Saturday, July 15! We are located at 619 Lincoln Ave in Troy and will be open 12 – 3 pm.
Maple Rye is the second release in our House Blend Series. Our first release, Honey Rye, is also still available for sale. Our House Blend label features the iconic 1914 home of the Hayner family. Today it is known as the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.
The House Blend Series is all about creating exciting blends and finishes with our award winning Hayner whiskey.
Hayner collaborated with Sugar Grove Maple Products outside Troy, Ohio to create our Maple Rye whiskey. Sugar Grove placed their maple syrup in one of our empty barrels to soak up the whiskey flavors. The barrel was then returned to Hayner, dripping with maple syrup, and we placed our Rye whiskey in the barrel for 3 months.
The result is an incredible smooth Rye whiskey with Maple Syrup notes on the finish. Maple Rye is $59.95 and it comes in at 114 proof. The sweetness helps cut the heat and it this is an incredibly easy sipping whiskey. (And makes an incredible Manhattan.)
Up next for our House Blend Series is Honey Bourbon and Maple Bourbon. The bourbon is still in the honey and maple barrels soaking up those great flavors. Honey Bourbon will be released in August followed by Maple Bourbon in September.
