An Update on Ukraine—Who Is Trying to Blow Up What?

The war in Ukraine is still festering.  No one in the Biden administration or in NATO is seeking peace, so war continues.  The long-awaited Ukrainian counter-offensive started, and the Russian Federation stopped the American weapon-backed and trained Ukrainian troops.  Ukraine gained little to nothing.  And because it is war, hundreds if not thousands of Ukrainians and Russians were killed.

I condemn the ongoing war and continue to call for peace talks, as I have since March 2022, and I continue to maintain that we have no business in this war.   All of you have read my reasons in prior newsletters.   Nothing has changed.

Some of my colleagues in the Senate are asking for NATO to declare Ukraine an Article 5 situation, even though Ukraine is not even part of NATO.   Article 5 obligates the United States to send American troops, our sons and daughters, to die for Ukraine.  I am 100% against this maneuver.  Ukraine openly solicits for mercenaries.  If anyone wishes to send their son or daughter to Ukraine to fight and die, by all means, sign them up as a mercenary.  For the rest of us, leave us out of this.

The American military has one constitutional job:  Protect our borders and stop any invasion of the United States.  That’s it.  That is the military’s charter.  Our founders expressly rejected an interventionist military and George Washington stressed that our country should be on good terms with all nations and should avoid all “foreign entanglements.”

Lastly, some of my Senate colleagues have publicly claimed that Russia is planning on blowing up a nuclear power plant to make a “dirty bomb.”  Please be aware there is no evidence of this.

To date, the United States helped Ukraine blow up an underwater Russian pipeline, and lamely tried to blame Russia.  Anyone with an IQ over 90 can understand that Russia would not blow up its own infrastructure.  That Russian pipeline transported valuable natural gas to Europe, and that greatly help Russia get cash.  Further, Biden had already stated that the United States was going to blow up that pipeline.  It is amazing the Biden regime thinks so little of American intelligence that they would lie in such a transparent and obviously fake way, but they did.

The United States also helped the Ukrainians blow up a major dam.  The Ukrainians used American HIMARS (a missile system) and the HIMARS are guided by our military intelligence.   Again, the Biden State Department lamely tried to blame Russia.  The dam provided electricity and water to Russia.   It was important to Russia which is why the Ukrainians wanted it destroyed.   Nonetheless, the effort to blame Russia for destroying its own dam continues.

Now, the Biden regime and some supporters in Congress are claiming that Russia wants to blow up, you guessed it, even more of its own infrastructure.   This time the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.  This Russian-controlled facility provides electricity to Russians.   For the last year, Ukraine has been lobbing artillery shells on it, so most of the power plant is shut down.

Do not fall for the lies from the Biden administration and the war mongers.   If the power plant is bombed, you can bet it will be Ukraine with the assistance of our country.  No country bombs its own infrastructure, and it is an ongoing piece of propaganda to mislead Americans.

Biden Sends Cluster Bombs to Ukraine: A War Crime

The war in Ukraine has now dragged on for more than 500 days.  This week, Joe Biden announced that he would be sending deadly cluster bombs to Ukraine.  Cluster bombs are banned by nearly 120 countries because of their high potential to indiscriminately kill innocent civilians.   According to CNN, cluster munitions contain multiple explosives that are released over an area up to the size of several football fields.  Gilles Carbonnier, Vice President of the International Committee of the Red Cross notedthat “any use of cluster munitions, anywhere, by anyone, must be condemned.”  In fact, in 2022, Jen Psaki, then White House Press Secretary noted the use of cluster bombs “would potentially be a war crime.”  The New York Post notes: “Two-thirds of NATO alliance members – including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Czech Republic – have banned the munitions because of the weapon’s ugly track record for causing civilian casualties.”  Now warmonger Biden is sending thousands of cluster bombs to Ukraine despite the use of them is a war crime, according to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, an international treaty that prohibits all use, transfer, production and stockpiling of cluster munitions.  More killings, this time innocent women and children, at the hands of Joe Biden.  This Friday, Biden defended his decision to provide cluster bombs to Ukraine, because if we are being truthful, it distracted reporters from asking about the cocaine found in the White House.  I condemn Biden’s latest decision to escalate the conflict by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine.

Cocaine in the White House

As noted above, the White House had to be evacuated last week because of a suspicious white powder that turned out to be cocaine.  If you have ever done the White House tour, or visited as a guest, you know that there are several levels of security you have to pass through to get in to the White House.  There are also security cameras everywhere and drug-sniffing canines.  Whoever brought the drugs in likely works there or lives there.   Secret Service should be able to crack this case in record time.  Like they did with the Supreme Court leaker that lead to an attempted assassination of Justice Kavanaugh.  And like they did with the J6 pipe bomber—a bomber that used cell phone towers and walked by dozens of cameras.   Oh wait, I forgot: they never bothered to arrest the Supreme Court leaker or the J6 bomber.   Let’s see if they make an arrest with the White House drug dealer.  Here are the top three suspects in the White House cocaine caper:

Racial Discrimination Is Immoral and Illegal, Medical Schools Try to Evade Court Ruling

Last week, I set forth the Supreme Court ruling in Harvard ending racial discrimination in colleges and universities, racial discrimination that had reached epic proportions.  The Court made it clear that the Constitution bans all racial and sexual discrimination.  The leftists, however, immediately vowed to ignore the Court, ignore the law and they stated their intent to always engage in anti-Asian and anti-White discrimination.

Accordingly, Stephen Miller and the America First Legal Institute sent a letter to all medical schools in the U.S. warning them that if they continued to break the law, and to gleefully engage in racism, there will be consequences.   I have attached one of the letters here for your review.

Hearing Aids Survey: There is Still Time to Vote!

In last week’s newsletter I included a poll to determine if I should introduce legislation making Medicare pay for hearing aids and asked for you feedback.  As noted, it is estimated that approximately 48 million Americans experience some degree of hearing loss, including over 400,000 Arizonans.  However,  Medicare does NOT cover hearing aids or exams for fitting hearing aids, which can be very expensive.

More than 325 people participated in my poll, but I would like to hear from more people and have decided to keep the poll open for one more week.  If you have a moment, please take the time to complete this poll by clicking here.  Thanks for participating, I will be sure to share the results in an upcoming newsletter.

China Bans Certain Critical Mineral Exports

Earlier this week, China announced that it would be restricting U.S. access to critical minerals by no longer exporting germanium and gallium, two key minerals necessary to make semi-conductor chips needed for airplanes, cars, cell phones, desk top computers, appliances, satellites, military weapons, and many more products.  China recognizes the importance of critical minerals and is acting to protect its economy and military.

SAVE THE DATE: Please Attend My Congressional Field Hearing!

Speaking of critical minerals, America needs to do the same thing for our critical minerals right here in the good ol’ U. S. of A.

I will be hosting a House Natural Resources Committee Congressional Field Hearing on Friday morning, July 21 in Goodyear.  The purpose of the hearing is to discuss critical minerals in our country that should be listed as critical and important to the United States security, and you are invited to attend and listen the to this official hearing live.  I will be focusing on copper and phosphate, among other minerals.  There will likely be other members of Congress participating, including Representatives Crane, Biggs and Lesko.

More information will be provided in the coming days.  For now, if you are interested in attending, PLEASE SAVE THE DATE!

It’s Mail Time!

I receive thousands of letters each month and I appreciate hearing from everyone.  Here’s a small sample of the letters I received just this week:

Pamela R. from Prescott sends a thoughtful holiday greeting:

Happy 4th of July! Thank you for your service in office and for all you do to help ensure that our country remains safe and free. As a 50 year Arizona resident from Prescott, I have seen the importance of protecting our freedoms and our country.  Please know that we appreciate your efforts and hard work!!

Pamela—I am honored to represent Arizona in Congress.   And you are spot on:  the democrats are constantly attempting to restrict our rights and freedoms.   It takes constant vigilance to protect our way of life, our institutions, our right to self-defense, our right to raise our children in a moral home, our right to not be discriminated against, and so much more.

Kenneth S. from Lake Havasu writes:

I appreciated your response last week to Roger although I thought some of the documents found at the Biden locations were from his term as Vice President and even his days as a senator. My understanding is a Vice President does not have the same rights as the President when it comes to taking documents and the only way he could have gotten them when he was a Senator was to actually steal them.

Dear Ken, I think you are correct.   Any top secret classified information stolen by BIden when he was a senator or the VP would violate the law.   Only the President has the authority to declassify documents and take whatever documents he deems fit.

Jim S. from Goodyear writes regularly and spouts the Left’s latest talking points:

I would like a response as to why you associate with white supremacy groups and terrorist hate groups, such as the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys? Are you a member of either one?

Once again, our country’s inflation is down; deficits are down; unemployment is down; the stock market is up, jobs are up – 13 million new jobs; GDP growth is up – higher than any major economy. President Biden’s plan is working. We no longer have Americans needlessly losing their lives in foreign wars. Currently, the Republicans are trying to strip away all of our rights and freedoms through the courts, despite the overwhelming majority of Americans who favor those rights and freedoms. Attempting to consolidate power and rule instead of governing will not end well for this country.

I realize you aren’t reading this, so my hope is that the interns who are doing the work will recognize the damage they are doing to our country and its people.  Enabling a representative to support hate, discrimination, and division will weigh on the conscience of most individuals for years to come. True “patriots” do not attack their own country; they defend it and its institutions.

Jim, there you go again.  First, I read as many letters as I can.  I have great interns and I try to get them a broad range of experience while they work in my office.  Which reminds me:  if anyone reading this knows of a young person looking to intern in DC or AZ, have them send their CV to Macayle, at macayle.fuchs@mail.house.gov.   I receive a lot of applications but we try to recruit as many interns as we can.  Back to Jim’s silly comments:  I read as much mail as I can and prepare my response accordingly.

Second, I do not “associate with white supremacy groups.”  The only white supremacy groups I am aware of is the current democrat party and the long defunct KKK, which was founded by democrats, run by democrats, and promoted by democrats.   Remember Senator Robert Byrd—a big time democrat and KKK grand wizard?  You should, he was one of your leaders.   Let’s not forget about Antifa or BLM.

It is leftists like Jim that engage in racial animosity on a daily basis.  No doubt Jim supports anti-Asian and anti-White discrimination in universities.   Well, too bad Jim, SCOTUS just told you and your Marxist buddies to take a hike with your racism.

I would respond to your goofy comments about the Biden economy, but I can’t stop laughing.   We have suffered record inflation.   Everyone knows it and feels it.   We suffered an economic recession under Biden.  It is no claim of accomplishment to wreck an economy and then cheer when it starts to get better, no thanks to Biden.  And Jim, inflation is not “down.”  Inflation literally means an increase.  What you mean to say is that the rate of inflation dropped from 8% to 6%.  Again, that is hardly good news or reason to celebrate.   Inflation is still up—at 6%.  Our money will be worth less this year than the year before.   That makes all of us poorer.   You can celebrate that all you want, it’s still a free country, but call me when Biden shows the kind of economy Trump created: record energy production, record GDP growth, record low gas prices, record low food prices.   Ahh, the good ole days.

I will give you this:  Our children are no longer dying in foreign wars.   I support that 100%.  But it is Biden that is attempting to get us involved in WW3 in Ukraine.   I do not want one of our soldiers there.  I do not want our equipment there.   Ukraine is an authoritarian, corrupt regime that bribed the Bidens in the biggest scandal in American history.   I want nothing to do with that mess.
