Exclusive: Hudson River Rail Ramble!

Join us! The Hudson River Rail Ramble will be operating exclusively for travelers with the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s group on Wednesday, November 1.

Our private charter will be aboard the historic tavern-lounge car No. 43, once used on the New York Central’s fleet of long-distance trains, on a roundtrip ride between Penn Station’s Moynihan Train Hall in New York City to Amtrak’s Albany-Rensselaer station. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Hudson River from big picture windows, a catered buffet-style lunch northbound and a catered buffet dinner southbound, both served on board the train.

There will be some time to enjoy access to Amtrak’s first-class Metropolitan Lounge before departure from the Moynihan Train Hall. During the layover in Albany-Rensselaer, you’ll be treated to an educational presentation by one of the on board docents and take advantage of a great photo opportunity on the lounge car’s red carpet. On the return trip, you can even write a postcard on replica New York Central stationery and have it sent from the train.
Spaces are limited and registration is due no later than August 1 on a first come basis. The rate for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is $489.00 per person. The non-member rate is $509.00 per person. Also included is roundtrip motorcoach transportation from Lititz, Pennsylvania to New York City.  All Aboard!
